Remember to take time everyday for some R&R (rest and relaxation). Aug. 15 is National Relaxation Day. Why not use this day to start new habits?
Everyone gets caught up in the fast pace world in which we live, and many forget to take a step back and just relax. Stress can be harmful to your health. Taking time to recuperate your mind and body can prevent a number of health issues.
You don’t need to go on vacation or leave the country to get some R&R. Simply try one of these peaceful activities:
- Go on a walk.
- Grab coffee with a co-worker.
- Take the long, scenic route to or from work.
- Eat lunch away from your desk.
- Do breathing exercises.
These are just a few ideas to help you lessen your stress.
