Our Process

How to Apply

University of Louisville Physicians is always looking for the best of the best to join our team. We are looking for people who have a passion for taking care of others.  Your strong desire for customer service and patient care, along with your desire to be a part of a larger team, are some of the qualities we are looking for.  If you are looking for a new opportunity with an exciting company, you may want to do the following:

  • Update your resume to include your most current employment experience and all previous employment.  Specifically, identify all your past experience that supports your qualifications.  When listing dates of employment, please include month and year.
  • We use an application tracking system that allows the use of technology in our recruiting initiatives.  We do not accept paper applications and request that all resumes be submitted electronically.  Our system will allow you to attach and upload your resume, as well as provide necessary information for employment with our company.
  • Include a cover letter with your resume.  Our applicant tracking system will allow you to attach one document.  Please include your cover letter and resume as a singular file.
  • Please attach your cover letter/resume as a Microsoft Word, PDF or plain text document.
  • Make sure to answer all questions completely.
  • Follow the instructions to complete the online application process.

What to Expect

I’ve submitted my resume and application…. Now what?

Once received, your resume will be reviewed by the hiring manager. If your experience and qualifications match the requirements of the position, you will be contacted for an interview. We regret we are not able to respond personally to everyone who applies for employment with our company.

We use a number of different resources and approaches to help with the selection of qualified team members. Telephone interviews, face-to-face interviews, reference and background checks are conducted to identify the most qualified candidate.

If you are selected as the preferred candidate, your authorization will be requested for the pre-employment checks that will include a criminal background check and possibly a pre-employment drug test.

When all of the pre-employment criteria has been successfully met and an employment offer made and accepted, a representative from our Human Resources Team will contact you to begin the “onboarding” process. You will then be scheduled for New Hire Orientation, to be held on your date of hire.  We’ll make sure you receive all the necessary training and resources you need for a successful start to your new career.
