JOB SUMMARY
Greets patients arriving for their appointments. Manages patient flow at the time of check-in and check-out.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Registration of patients on the Centricity system, work Centricity system alerts and verify insurance.
· Collection of co pays and outstanding balances. Balancing/batching of all monies at end of day.
· Maintains log for film and patient records that are delivered to the front desk.
· Responsible for collecting form fees and sending out originals.
· Scanning insurance cards, HIPAA policy and patient information into the EMR system.
· Making daily reminder phone calls to patients as well as rescheduling canceled or bumped appointments.
· Assist with telephone overflow, scheduling appointments and with attaining patient referral if not present upon arrival.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
· Medical office experience.
· Knowledge of Centricity system and EMR preferred.
· Excellent customer service skills required.
· Professional demeanor and appearance a must.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
· Punctuality and excellent attendance required.
